George was born in 1582(1), the son of Richard and Elizabeth. He had three older brothers - Robert, Richard and John(2). His siter Dorothy was born in 1585(3), but then his brother Robert died in 1588(4). His youngest brother Thomas came along the following year(5), but then his sister Dorothy died in 1593(6). Finally his youngest sister Elizabeth was born in 1594(7).

His father died in 1597(8), and his mother the following year(9).

No record of George's marriage has been found, but it was likely around 1600-1601 as his first son Thomas was probably born then(10). He acquired a lease on a property on Soper Lane in Dronfield in 1602 (11) and his daughter Mildred was born shortly afterwards(12). His son Thomas died in 1603(13) and then son Gervase was born in 1604(14).

Nothing later is known of him.
