William Walton

1650 - 1711

Father George Walton
Mother Alice(?)
Wife Elizabeth
Children William, Charles, Nehemiah, Elisha, Robert, Matthew

William was born in 1650 in Tideswell, and baptised there on 26th April, the eldest son of George (1) (and Alice? (2)). His younger brother Charles was born two years later (3), probably followed by younger siblings John, George, Alice & Elizabeth (2).

He married a woman called Elizabeth (4), and their first son, William, was born in 1673 (6). Their son Charles was probably born soon afterwards, as he died young in 1676 (7). Four more sons followed - Nehemiah in 1677 (8), then Elisha in 1679 (9), Robert in 1681 (10) and finally Matthew in 1684 (11). Elizabeth died a few months after Matthew's birth (5).

William seems to maintained closes ties to the Mycock family, like his father before him (2) - he and his brother Charles taking the inventory of John Mycock in 1681 (12).

Nothing more is known of him until his death in 1711. He was buried in Tideswell on 8th October (13).
